"...committed to serving the educational and professional developmental needs of the people of Barbados.”
DAYS Bookstore emerged on the local scene in 1988 with a mandate to provide educational books, mainly for primary and secondary schools. One of the original founders, the late Chairman Keith Austin always viewed the company as being “committed to serving the educational and professional developmental needs of the people of Barbados.”
Thus, over the years DAYS Bookstore has moved towards providing some textbooks at tertiary level, practical business books for the busy executive, intriguing novels for the avid reader, autobiographies, Caribbean history, as well as law books for the busy practitioner and student, Inspirational books to lift the spirit and feed the soul.
We have a wide selection of cookbooks. Plus, a wide range of children’s readers and activity books, and an extensive range of stationery supplies and greeting cards. Today, the bookstore has evolved into the leading supplier of textbooks in the primary and secondary market.
Breaking all moulds of the traditional bookstore, DAYS Bookstore is well known for staging displays at business conferences, teachers’ seminars, and school book fairs and even within companies and government agencies. In other words, the bookstore is taken to the customer.
Our instore events such as book signings/meet the author, children's story telling, radio outside broacasts and much more is unique to bookselling in Barbados. Please visit our facebook page for upcoming instore events.
Another unique feature of the bookstore is the ability to source publications through specialised websites. Such technology enables ‘special orders’ to customers looking for that one-off title. With access to specialist technology and product catalogues, DAYS Bookstore is a key player in supplying textbooks to secondary schools, and the private and public sectors.
Located in Bridgetown, DAYS Bookstore features 2,000 sq. ft. of retail space in Speedbird House, Fairchild Street, opposite Independence Square and looks on to the Parliament Buildings. Our on-site warehouse occupies 1,500 sq. ft.
